It was no rival for “The Decision” but Brandon Roy has used his own unconventional way of making his own announcement.
Via a friends twitter account, Roy today confirmed he is preparing for a return to the NBA next season.

While it’s obviously still too early to know where Roy may land, LA Lakers have long been a suspected target.
One thing is for sure, is that rules prevent him from returning to Portland.

Roy will undoubtedly be on a tight leash as far as minutes, but he could potentially play a big role for a contending team.
It remains to be seen how tentative teams will be considering the knee injuries that forced his premature retirement.
