After a disappointing season with the Dallas Mavericks last season where his effort, conditioning and overall professionalism were called into question, it was fair to wonder if former Laker Lamar Odom would be able to turn his career back around again with a bounce-back year.
Having lost their two best reserve big men from last year (rebounding maven Reggie Evans and interior enforcer Kenyon Martin), the Clippers are banking on Odom to return to something close to his old Lakers form, when he backed up Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum to form one of the top big-man rotations in the league.
Fat chance.
