The only guy to feature in Know That Balla twice (Edition II & Edition VI), Drew has a great passion for all things basketball.  He loves to be involved off the court as much as he does on it and would love to have a hand in helping the sport grow in Australia.

Ask anyone in the Cairns community and he’s held in high regard for his kind nature and can do attitude.

We caught up with Drew to find out wasup with his Twitter MVP campaign.

ANZ Your veteran teammate Jamar (Wilson) talked up a mad twitter game when we spoke to him, but you’re murdering him on the twitter court.  Does he really have twitter game, or is he all talk?

AW Jamar is all talk as far as twitter goes he knows he dont wanna see me on the Twitter court! I might be a rook in the NBL but not twitter!

ANZ You and Ron Dorsey have by far the biggest tweet counts, but Ronnie is way ahead of you.  Who’s the better tweeter out of you and him?

AW  Yeah I took notice to that! Ron tweets some “Real Nice” things but all I have to say about that is quality over quantity!

ANZ What is the single craziest thing that’s been said to you on twitter (apart from spam)?

AW  A girl got mad at me for not responding to her DM’s and tweets so I unfollowed her and I guess she noticed.  Then she called me out about unfollowing her! I just laughed about it! (shrugs)

ANZ Who is your most famous follower?

AW (New Orleans Hornets guard) Eric Gordon.  We’re both from Indiana.  I think he’s got about 42,000 followers or something like that.

ANZ Say your bit.  Why should you be Twitter MVP?

AW  Cuz I tweet a balanced variety of serious tweets mixed with comedy! Plus I always think I’m the best no matter what it might be in…Its the mindset that comes with being a Pro Athlete!
